Continuing Education
Continuing education workshops designed to help clinicians move beyond good intentions into effective, real-world culturally-responsive practice.
Providing culturally-responsive care requires more than good intentions
Many clinicians value culturally-responsive care and want to show up for their clients in ways that are thoughtful and affirming. What is often missing is the training needed to do that work with clarity and confidence.
This is not a lack of commitment. It is a gap in preparation.
These workshops focus on what actually changes clinical practice.
The goal is not just to increase awareness. It is to provide you with tools you can use, immediately and effectively, in your work with clients.
Each workshop is designed to help you think more critically and adapt your approach in ways that are both evidence-based and culturally-responsive.
Continuing education workshops I offer include:
RELEASE the Script: A Clinical Approach to Helping Black Women Rewrite Strength on their Own terms
Using DBT with Black women clients
Adapting Mindfulness interventions to meet the needs of Black clients
The Ethics of Self-Care for Clinicians
"Long trainings can at times lose attention, especially in a virtual format, but I was engaged and present the whole time. I could tell Dr. Natalie is very knowledgeable and committed to this work!"
