About NWS Wellness and Consulting, LLC

Care That Aligns With How You Want to Show Up

Whether you're a mental health professional looking to deepen your impact or someone seeking more sustainable, aligned ways of living and leading, you deserve support that honors both your goals and the experiences that have shaped them. In my therapy and organizational trainings, I center the needs of those often overlooked, especially Black women, helping you move beyond burnout and into a more intentional, well-supported way forward.

Making mental health knowledge actionable

Bridging the gap between what we understand about mental health and what we’re actually able to do with it.

NWS Wellness + Consulting was created to translate mental health knowledge into culturally-responsive, practical support for individuals, clinicians, and organizations. Our work spans culturally-responsive therapy, organizational consulting for high-performing teams, and training clinicians in culturally-responsive, evidence-based approaches.

Hi, I’m Dr. Natalie Watson-Singleton

Psychologist, professor, and founder of NWS Wellness + Consulting, helping people turn mental health insight into real, meaningful change.

I didn't choose between the research and the people. I chose both. I’ve spent my career moving between two worlds, one where mental health knowledge is created, and another where that knowledge is translated into people’s everyday lives. Being in both worlds made something clear: insight is powerful, but it is not always enough to create change.

I started this work because I kept seeing the same gap. People can understand their patterns and still feel stuck. Clinicians can value culturally-responsive care and still feel underprepared to practice it. Organizations can have good intentions and still produce teams that are overextended and struggle to honor both their well-being and ambition.

NWS Wellness + Consulting was built to close that gap

Through therapy, I help individuals move from awareness to action in ways that feel clear and sustainable. Through continuing education workshops and consultation, I equip clinicians and teams with culturally-responsive, evidence-based tools they can apply immediately. Through organizational trainings, I help high-performing teams unlearn internalized pressure to over-function.

MY PHILOSOPHY

Teach, Train, Transform

TEACH

Transformation starts with understanding. I give clients, clinicians, and organizations the language and frameworks to name what they're experiencing, because you can't move through something you can't articulate. This is where we build the foundation.

TRAIN

Understanding alone doesn't create change. I train people in how to apply what they've learned, through skill-building, practice, and tools that are grounded in evidence and designed for real life. This is where insight becomes capability.

TRANSFORM

When people know better and are equipped to do better, transformation isn't just possible, it's inevitable. This is the outcome I build toward in every therapy session, every workshop and training, and every consultation. Not just change. Lasting change.
